Rohit Sharma’s woes in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) seem never-ending and yet again he succumbed to a golden duck, the second this year against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Undone by a Jofra Archer bouncer first up, Rohit took on the short🉐 ball and hit꧂ it straight to the fielder.
Apart from a 94 run knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rohit’s form with the bat has been quite terrible, to say the least. In fact, the Mumbai Indians (MI) also took the call to slot him down the order, in a bid to get the best out of their premier batsman. While the change has indeed worked for the likes of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, in particular, it would also seem as though the move hasn’t really worked out for Rohit.
As for the dismissal against the Royals at the Wankhede, it would seem to many as though this one was rather unlucky, something that many commentators have attributed to bad form. The ball did come off the meat of the bat, as far as Rohit was concerned barring the elevation that would have taken t🐎he ball over the fence.
The delivery from Archer which clocked in excess of 150 Kmph went straight into the hands of Jaydev Unadkat who was stationed for Rohit’s pull shot.
