Suresh Raina is one of the best fielders t𒀰o have played the gam൲e of cricket. Though his form with the bat may dip on occasion, his fielding standards never do.
The southpaw showcased another example of his brilliance on Tuesday against Kolkata Knight Riders, producing a ꦍsensational effort from covers to run-out Robin Uthappa𒆙.
The KKR wicket-keeper batsman punched a back of length delivery to cover where Raina dived and made a half stop. But as Uthappa saw Raina fumble and Dinesh Karthik halfway down the𒈔 pitch, he went through for the run only to be caught short of the crease.
Raina recovered quickly after the diving fumble to gather the ball and hit the stumps directly at the non-striker’s end.
