Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), riding on opener Chris Lynn’s 62 and Robin Uthappa’s 36, with 5 balls to spare, at the M.Chinnaswamy stadium on Sunday.
The win♛, which came after two strai𒁏ght losses, took KKR to the fourth spot with eight points while RCB is at seventh spot with four points.
Chasing 176, the visitors got off to a perfect start as Lynn and Sunil Narine (27) forge🍬d 59-run partnership in 7.1 overs before the West Indian departed by Murugan Ashwin.
New batsman Uthappa and Lynn then played sensibly and punished the bad balls. The duo managed to take Kolkata past 100-run mark. But just when things seemed good in the middle, Uthappa was dismissed by Ashwin i🍷n the 13th over.
New batsman Nitish Rana (15), who was loo﷽king good at the crease,ꦍ got retired hurt.
All-rounder Andre Russel (0) and Dinesh Karthik (23) were also sent packing soon but at that time Lynn has already put his team on 🦂the front foot and then went on to complete the proc💛eeding in the last over with Shubman Gill (5 not out).
For RCB, Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets💞 each.
Earlier, put into bat, Bang⛄alore started on a cautious note as openers Quinton de Kock (29 off 27) and Brendon McCullum (38 off 28) shared a 67-run partnership for the first wicket.
Later, skipper Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 68-run knock off 44 balls helped the home side to post a respectable total of 175/4.
For Kolkata, Russel was the pick of the b🎐owlers with figures of ༒3/31 while Kuldeep scalped a wicket for 20 runs.

Forget everything – match after match after match, gets his A game to the field. Not at all easy when the team isn’t really firing! You do feel sorry for Virat!

. can still qualify to the last four. Need to win at least six from the remaining seven!
Remember they had won seven consecutive games in 2011 (22 Apr to 14 May) after winning just one from their first four! Went on to reach final!

Fee bad for Kohli every time I see him speak at the post⛎ match presentation. Very strong words from him today. Team has to realize one man cannot win you all the games, it has to be a colle🏅ctive effort.

Virat Kohli looks dejected. Gotta feel for him. Batted brilliantly again, played a much better team without AB and sꦑtill the same story.
