Virat Kohli led IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), is learnt to have lost Rs 11 crores deal with travel portal Goibibo.com for the upcoming season of🍰 the cash-rich tournament.
According to a report publishᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚed in Insidesports.co, the deal was called off because RCB was not able to meet the requirements of Goibibo.com.
For the last ten years, different teams of the cash𝓀-rich league have been providing the players to different sponsors of the team so that they can do the justice to the huge spending.
Virat Kohli had no issues sharing the screen with the Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone but RCB inserted a clause in his contract which stated he couldn’t share commercial space with other celebrities.
“The RCB captain, in general, is not opposed to working with other celebrities professionally. However, in the present case, the demand was ‘beyond the terms of his IPL contract’,” the report states.
Interestingly, Deepika was earlier the brand ambassador of the Royal Challengers Ba☂ngalore and could be seen cheering for the team often for home matches in Ban🧸galore.
Earlier, during the IPL 2018 player retentio💖n event in January, RCB shipped a whopping Rs 17 crore to retain the services of Virat Kohli fo🧔r the upcoming season. That saw him become the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.
