David Warner appears for press conference, says playing for Australia “may not ever happen”

Afte🌠r Steve Smith, David Warner too appeared for a press conference. Warner said that he has let Australia down and apologized for his actions.

This was the first time Warner appeared in public after the ball-tampering scandal. Australian⛦ Cricket board banned Warner and Steve Smith for 12🐭 months for their role in the scandal.

During the press conference Warner said, “I’ve let you down badly. I hope in time I’m able to repay all you’ve given me and possibly earn your respect again. To my teammates, I apologies and take full responsibility.”

Warner also mentioned that he might get a chance to represent the country again. “I do realize I am responsible for my own actions, it’s heartbreaking to know I won’t be taking the field with my teammates that I love and respect and have let down. In the back of my mind there is a tiny ray of hope I may one day play for my country again, although I know that may not ever happen.”, Warner continued.

Warner went ahead and apologized to all fans and also his family. Warner said, “To all Australians, I apologize for my actions. I can honestly say that I’ve always wanted to bring in glory to my country by playing cricket. In striving to do so, I’ve made the decision that has had the opposite effect and it’s one that I’ll regret for the rest of my life.I want to apologize to my family, especially my wife and daughters. Your love means more than anything to me, I know I would not be anything without you. I promise you I will never put you in this position again.”.
