Former Indian captain MS Dhoni once came to rescue after India were restricted to 29/7 against Sri Lanka in ꦯDharamshala during the 1st ODI between the two sides on Sunday.
The 36-year-old Dhoni whacked four boundaries and ran few singles in his 65 run knock and took India to a decent total on bowler’s friendly pitch.
In the process, the wicketkeeper-batsman also completed his 16000 runs in international cricket. Having retired from Test cricket, Dhoni’s stats read 4876 runs from 90 Tests while in ODIs, the run machine has scored 9826 runs from 309 games.
Clearly, the man🍒 who makes a lot of news whenever he is scoring or the other way round, this time saved the Indian team from an embarrassing feat of getting bowled out below 54, which is their lowest ODI totaꦍl.
Here’s how fans on Twitter reacted to MS Dhoni’s knock:

If you still question why MS Dhoni is in India's ODI plans… watch this Dharamsala knock in the knowledge that 2019 World Cup is in early half of English summer. The man knows how to bat across different conditions with different partners. Irreplaceable!
