India decimated Sri Lanka for a second successive day in the third and final Test before declaring at 536/7 under strange circumstances. Virat Kohli carried on his excellent run and broke a plethora of records before getting dismissed for 243 – his sixth double century in the last 18-odd months.
Virꦫat has become the first skipper to 🗹hit six double centuries in Test cricket.
The 29-year-old Delhi born cricketer thus surpassed West Indies great Brian Lara, who held the record🌺 previously with five double tons in Tests.
India’s current ‘Milestone Man’, who had emulated Rahul Dravid with his previous double century in Nagpur, today equalled Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag for maximum number of double hundr🐭eds for India in Tests.
