India captain Virat Kohli is well known for his competitive nature whenever he is on the field and on Day 3 of the first Test between India and Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens, he celebrated in his own style after completing the catch of Sri Lanka’s left-handed batsman Lahiru Thirimanne in the slips.
It happened off the second ball of the 37th over, bowled by Umesh Yadav. The ball straightened after pitching outside the off and managed to get a thick outside edge with Thirimanne⛎ failing to control his shot.
Kohli, fielding at second slip, took a dive to his left and completed the catch to the relief of Yadav, who had previously seen a dropped catch off his bowling by Shikhar Dhawan.
