WATCH: Ellyse Perry’s funny reaction after being fooled by the crowd

Australia star all-rounder Ellyse Perry required six runs to complete her maiden double ton in the one-off Womeꦇn Ashes Test match played at the North Sydney Oval and she smashed the ball one over the field when the crowd present in the ground got naughty.

After the shot, Perry acknowledged the crowd f💞or the double hundred only to find out that she𒆙 has been fooled. Quite embarrassing!

The second embarrassing incident of the match for Ellyse Perry:

On 194 with only one wicket in hand, the 26-year-old Perry launched off-spinner Laura Marsh to the wide mid-wicket rope and 🍷immediately celebrated her 200. In amongst the emotion, there was a moment of confusion.

With a roar of the buzzing North Sydney Oval crowd, P🍨erry raised her bat an꧃d celebrated the ton.

It was then England’s wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor who informed Perry tha🃏t she had celebrated too early and also umpire indicated it was a four, wiܫth replays later confirming the ball bounced before crossing the rope and the false alarm had been rung.

Though in the next over, Perry completed her double century and became the highest individual scorer for Australian in Women’s Tests. Her incredible knock of 213 not out, broke the previous record of Karen Rolton, who had madeꦍ 209 not out against England at Leeds in 2001.

In a post day press conference, Perry admitted that this was “second most embarrassing thing for me this Test”. The right-handed batter added, “the crowd just completely fooled me…”
