The Indian squad for the first 3 ODI’s against Australia was announced on Sunday. Pacer Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami have been recalled while youngster Shardul Thakur has been dropped.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were once again not in the ODI squad, and middle order batsmen Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina were once again ignored by the selectors.
After the squad was announced, cricket fans on social media accused Indian captain Virat Kohli of favouring Royal Challengers Bangalore (൩RCB) players.
If we look at the squad that was picked for the first three matches of the series, there are four players from RCB, including Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kedar Jadhav, who play for RCB in the IPL. Therefore, fans on social media lashed ouꦍt at Kohli for being biased towards his RCB teammates.
Indian fans are not happy with the ax𝄹ing of some of the most followed cricketers and at the same time🐈 irked at the inclusion of the new comers.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions:
