The prolific run-getter in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Suresh Raina, hasn’t been selected in the 15 member squad of team India for the upcoming ICC Champions trophy.
With a strike rate ܫof above 95 and an average of 35 plus in One Day Internationals (ODI), Raina is one of the most successful middle-order batsmen in India and also has a good record in England where the Champions Trophy will be played this year.
Raina is highly disappointed after he failed to make the cut in final 15 players o🌺f the big ICC tournament.
“What can I say now? It’s really disappointing and hurting. I was expecting a comeback call this time,” the south told Hindustan Times.
“I have been performing well and consistently, proving myself in the IPL. Certainly, it is not on the expected lines but I would let my bat do the talking as I am sure of my comeback in the Indian squad one day,” said Raina, who has been included in the 5 member standby list for the upcoming ICC event.
Well, the 30-year-batsman hasn’t played an ODI since 2015 but still in the shorter format of the game, he has been an inspiration for youngsters.
