In the 6th game of the ongoing IPL T20 between the Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the young Afghani leg-spinner Rashid Khan produced a scintillating performance which fetched him the ‘Purple Cap’.
Playing just the 2nd game of his IPL career, Rashid not only showed his class performance with the bowl but also proved his worth in the team. He dismissed star Gujarat Lions batsmen namely Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina and Aaron Finch.
Rashid took 3 wickets for 19 runs in his full quota of four overs and was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ in Sunrisers 9 wickets win over the Gujarat Lions.
Meanwhile, the Twitteratis’ hailed this Afghan man’s performance and also congratulated him as he became the first highest wicket taker of this season and received the ‘Purple Cap’.
