On day 4 of the second Test match between India and Australia, played in Bengaluru, Indian speedster Umesh bowled a grubber and trapped Australian captain Steve Smith in front of the wickets.
The umpire Nigel Llong immediately upheld a loud appeal by India and gave the batsman out.Smith walked down the pitch to discuss with his partner Peter Handscomb before opting for the DRS.
But, all the drama in the match started when Smith looked up at the dressing-room for help with the referral. According to rules, players are not allowed to seek external help – they are only allowed to consult their batting partners at the other end.
It was then, the Twitteratis took at the dig at the🗹 Aussie♔ skipper for his unfair attitude of playing the game.
