South Afican skipper AB de Villiers became the fastest batsman to reach 9000 ODI runs during the th﷽ird ODI against New Zealand at Wellington on Saturday𝔉.
He surpassed former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, who took 228 One day International innings to achieve this fe𝔉at. The Proteas batsman took 205 inn♎ings to reach this milestone. This was 23 innings quicker than Ganguly.
Ganguly scored 9000 runs in his 236th ODI ag𝔉ainst Australia at Melbourne in 2004.
De Villiers also holds the record for the fastest 50, fastest 100 and fastest 150 in ODI’s.
